“Hustle culture” has been a big thing since the world shut down in March 2020.
In a business context, "hustling" typically refers to the act of proactively seeking out new opportunities and taking initiative to grow a business or increase one's personal income. Hustling forward is the same thing, but instead of growing a business, you grow your acumen as a human being. This can include things like actively seeking out new perspectives in your media and continually looking for ways to improve or expand one's mindset. It’s important to hustle to move things forward…but at the same time, you don’t want to hustle backwards.
Our guest this week, Roger Steele, talks about the unique path he embarked on that led him directly to our podcast. We’re biased obviously, but we feel like our discussion on his upbringing, rise and plans to reshape the narrative of who golf “is for” qualifies as must-listen material.
We’re gonna talk about this more in episodes to come, so stay tuned for that. Until then, take a look back at the guys’ book recommendations and enjoy the rest of your weekend with some hand-picked gems from the guys.
